Incredible India! A perfect and justifiable way to describe India.

India has over 1.2 billion people, is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and is the world’s largest democracy.

There seems to be festivals and celebrations every day, everywhere.

India’s first major civilization dates back to over 5000 years and is the birthplace of four of the world’s major religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism.

Since the people are exceptionally friendly and welcoming they, generally, love to be photographed. Their friendship always feels very genuine. My time there coincided with ‘Pongal’, the harvest festival of South India, and the wedding season which gave me many wonderful photo opportunities.

I am continuously fascinated by the pristine, brightly coloured saris that the women wear. Their saris date back to the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, 2800-1800 BC.

This book is a collection of some of the photos I’ve taken in my travels in Southern, Central and Northern India.

India is one of my favorite countries to explore and I’m always looking for a chance to return.

In short, the people, the Mughal architecture, the temples, the culture and the stunning colours all make India an amazing place to visit.

My next two trips to India will be to Odisha and Gujarat and I can barely wait to arrive there, for yet another Indian visual feast.
